Kidney Tumour SBRT (Renal SABR)

High-dose Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy for primary renal cell carcinoma and medically inoperable kidney tumors.

Clinical Approach

Non-invasive stereotactic radiation destroying kidney tumors without incisions or blood loss.

Historically considered radiation-resistant, primary renal cell carcinoma (RCC) has been shown to respond with high local control rates (exceeding 90%) when exposed to ablative doses delivered via Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT/SABR).

Kidney SBRT is an ideal non-surgical treatment for patients who are elderly, have pre-existing cardiovascular risk factors, or have solitary kidneys where surgical nephrectomy would risk immediate dialysis dependence.

Delivered in 3 to 5 outpatient sessions with respiratory motion tracking, Renal SABR destroys malignant renal tissue while preserving surrounding functional nephrons, stomach, duodenum, and colon.

Clinical Evaluation

Key Clinical Considerations in Your Consultation

Every recommendation is customized according to staging scans, pathology markers, and patient priorities.

01

Clinical evaluation of renal mass size, anatomy, and proximity to bowel loops

02

Non-surgical treatment option for medically inoperable or surgically complex cases

03

Preservation of baseline renal function and glomerular filtration rate (GFR)

04

Painless outpatient treatment in 3 to 5 visits with zero surgical incision or bleeding

05

Respiratory gating and 4D-CT simulation for renal motion tracking

06

Second opinion review of contrast-enhanced triphasic CT and MRI scans
